Jerry Allen

Jerry Allen - President

Jerry Allen is the president of Delta Fire Systems, a full service fire protection company with offices in Salt Lake City, Utah; Reno, Nevada; Twin Falls, Idaho; Idaho Falls, Idaho; Boise, Idaho; and St. George, Utah.

Before Jerry began work at Delta, he served in various roles at Western States Fire Protection, another APi Group Company. He started in 1995 as a designer for the Austin, Texas branch office. Due to a strong work ethic, desire to learn, and the passion to fill in gaps, Jerry was soon promoted to Project Manager and within a couple of years was promoted to Operations Manager. In 2005, Jerry was promoted to Area Manager. During his ten years as the Area Manager, Jerry and the Austin Team grew this once struggling operation into one of the top branch offices of Western States Fire Protection.

Jerry began his career in fire protection in 1990 working for a small fire protection company in Amarillo, TX. Prior to that, Jerry served four years in the U.S. Army as a light infantry NCO with the 82nd Airborne Division. Jerry participated in the 1989-1990 invasion of Panama "Operation Just Cause."

Jerry is passionate about fire protection, the customer experience and growing a company that is successful and sustainable!

Outside of work, Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife, Kathina and their five sons.

Aaron Dickens

Aaron Dickens - Vice President

After getting a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, a Graduate Certificate in Financial Management from Cornell University, and working a few years in California in the finance industry, Aaron began his career in fire protection at Consolidated Fire Protection. Before starting at Delta, he worked as the Service Manager of another full-service fire protection service company in Auburn, Alabama. There, he helped grow their residual income substantially through service work, inspections and alarm monitoring accounts. During his time there, Aaron ran all office operations, and self-performed field installation, service, and inspection work.  Aaron is currently pursuing a Master's of Science with a concentration in Management and Leadership.

Aaron has extensive knowledge and experience in the technical code requirements specifically pertaining to the inspection, installation and repairs of full-service fire protection systems, in addition to substantial finance, training, sales, and management/leadership experience.  

Aaron is responsible for the branch operations in Boise, St George, Twin Falls, and AEI Systems Group, while still providing assistance to our other branches.  Aaron leads the acquisition efforts of Delta, seeking ethically strong and profitable companies to continue our ability to better service our customers.

Wanting to bring his wife, Erika, and two sons closer to family, Aaron moved back to Utah in July 2016 and joined the Delta team.

Aaron is the Director of Region Six (AZ, CA, CO, HI, NV, NM, UT, WY, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, South Pacific, and Taiwan) on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors (NAFED).  He is active in the community through service opportunities and supports charities and the local community through the Boy Scouts of America, ice hockey, church, and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  

Dennis Orgill

Dennis Orgill - Director of Risk Management and Safety

Dennis is the Director of Risk Management and Safety for Delta Fire Systems, Inc. He began his career in the field as a fire sprinkler fitter. After 23 years in the field, most of that spent with Delta Fire, 10 years ago, he was promoted to his current position on our Corporate level, helping protect our company and employees from harm or injury and reduce our potential liability. Dennis has implemented and manages many of our safety procedures and ensures that we are properly and regularly trained. Dennis can regularly be found auditing our job-sites for safety, training other managers on the most effective ways to perform regular safety job audits (and holding those managers accountable to their safety management responsibilities), holding and overseeing quarterly 8-hour regional safety training meetings for each of our respective branch offices, verifying that each of our employees timely complete their required annual individual safety training and their OSHA 30 training, reviewing and assessing new contracts to mitigate risk, managing our company substance abuse prevention program, and filing all required paperwork associated with any applicable insurance claims, including workers compensation, general liability, and auto liability claims. Among these responsibilities, Dennis holds numerous certifications both in the fire sprinkler and safety fields. He is regularly involved in trade organizations and the Utah Safety Council.

A native of the Salt Lake Valley, Dennis has been married for 30 years. He and his wife Nita have two children. While not on the job, he enjoys hunting, fishing, farming, and spending time with his family.

Sean McGuire

Sean McGuire - Branch Leader, Reno

Sean has over 25 years in fire suppression and alarm and detection systems. He started his career in fire protection as a halon suppression and detection installer in the San Francisco Bay Area. After two years he started his own business as a franchise owner for FireMaster covering the Northern San Francisco Bay Area. In 1993 he started the alarm detection department for Grinnell Fire Protection in Dublin CA. Later he transferred to the Fresno office to build the alarm and detection division in this office. He was then promoted to Total Service Manager.

In 2007 he moved his family to the Reno Nevada area and helped start an office for Pro-Tech Fire Protection Systems. He later added alarm and detection to all of the Pro-Tech Fire Protection systems offices and eventually was promoted to President when they went public as Pro-Tech industries. In 2012 he moved to Western States Fire Protection as Service Manager and proceeded to grow the service, inspections and alarm and detection departments until he was recognized and recommended by upper management for a promotion to Area Manager with Delta Fire Systems.

In his spare time Sean enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time with his high school sweetheart and wife Erina, two children and two grandchildren.

LaMar Hayward

LaMar Hayward - Branch Leader, Idaho Falls

LaMar has over 37 years’ experience in the fire protection industry.  He began his career as an Apprentice Fire Sprinkler Fitter in Salt Lake City, and completed the Apprenticeship Program, becoming a Journeyman.    He moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho in 1984, and with his business partner started  and operated 3-D Fire Protection,   as Co-Owner/ Vice President .   He was an Estimator, Project Manager, NICET Level  IV Senior Engineering Technician, Installer, Manager, Planner, and  provided  oversight of  the design and installation of all types of fire protection systems.  He also oversaw training and implementation of OSHA environmental safety and hazard communication programs.

3-D Fire Protection was acquired by Delta Fire Systems, Inc. in August of 2013. He is currently the Idaho Manager.   He loves what he does and the people he works with.

LaMar is married with 4 children, and 7 grandchildren, when away from work he loves spending time with his family.

Brian Flechs

Brian Flechs - Branch Leader, Boise & Twin Falls

Brian Flechs is the Branch Leader for the Twin Falls and Boise Idaho offices.  Brian started his career in fire protection when he was 18 with Alpha Fire in San Luis Obispo, CA.  He started as an apprentice fire sprinkler fitter, completing the Local 669 apprenticeship program as a Journeyman.  While turning wrenches during the day, Brian attended college in the evenings. He worked at Western States Fire Protection, sister company of Delta, as a traveling foreman on their High-Tech division and ultimately a Project Manager/Designer out of Phoenix, AZ.  Brian relocated to Idaho as a Project Manager for Delta and was quickly promoted to Branch Leader over the Twin Falls Branch Office, commuting two hours each way weekly from his home in Boise.  January 2017, Brian was promoted to oversee the Boise branch office operation as well and is now able to spend more time at home near his family.  Brian has the passion, drive and work ethic it takes to be successful in business and this industry.

Brian is married to the love of his life, Rebekah, and together they have a baby boy, a step-daughter and step-son. When not working, he spends time relaxing and enjoying life with his family. 

John Richards


John Richards started his career in Reno, Nevada 37 years ago as a fire sprinkler fitter. After completing the 4-year apprenticeship program through UA Local Union 669 Road Sprinkler Fitters in Reno, he relocated to Salt Lake City in 1996 and joined Delta Fire Systems as a field foreman installing, servicing and inspecting all types of fire protection systems. After 8 years, John was promoted to field superintendent. In 2015, John took an early retirement and was out of the trade for two years only to return to Delta Fire in 2017 as the Salt Lake City Branch Operations Manager. John is excited to help Delta Fire Systems grow and strive for excellence.

John has two great children.  He married his lovely wife, Amber, in 2015 and enjoys traveling and spending time with her and her two children.

Jim Reed

Jim Reed - Branch Operations Leader, Southern Utah

Jim started his career fabricating fire sprinkler pipe in Anaheim, CA.   He went on to complete a formal fire sprinkler apprenticeship program and became a sprinkler foreman, running new construction installation jobs.  He then worked for Western States Fire Protection (sister company of Delta Fire) as a purchasing agent in the office. From purchasing, Jim became a project engineer, designing systems in their Torrance, CA office.

To further his education in the industry, Jim went to work for Cosco Fire Protection as an inspector where he tested and inspected fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, and backflow preventers.  After a few years, Jim transferred to a sister company, Consolidated Fire Protection, as a Project Manager in the construction department.  In this capacity, Jim oversaw many national tenant improvement projects to full new construction projects from New Jersey to California

Wanting to leave California, Jim and Gina (his wife) decided to move to St. George Utah.  They have come to love Southern Utah.  Jim began working for Delta Fire Systems in May 2017 as the Sales Manager.   In November 2017, Jim was promoted to the Southern Utah Operations Manager.  His broad range of knowledge, from installation, purchasing, and design, to full-service inspections, provides the branch a solid experienced leader. Jim continues to love the challenges of growing the branch profitably while always maintaining our values and growing relationships.
